Hello! I am a senior digital copywriter and content manager. I live in north London, have a great Jack Russell named Milo and I’m an avid golfer.
Experienced in print and digital, I have generated content for men, women, seniors, teens and kids, DIYers, astronomers, bikers, techies, petrolheads, foodies, pet lovers and those with green fingers. I recently completed a Digital Marketing course, specialising in search engine optimisation, pay-per-click advertising, display advertising, affiliate marketing, online PR, social media marketing, and email marketing. With a keen interest in healthy living and natural beauty, I studied anatomy and holistic therapy in my spare time and qualified through ITEC as a reflexologist and massage therapist.
Working as a freelance copywriter with advertising and creative agencies has brought me varied and interesting projects, from web site launches, microsites, redesigns, ad campaigns, books and merchandising. I am happy working with wireframes and devising content layout for best user interaction as well as technical documentation in order to produce engaging, informative copy.
Previously, as Group Editor for AOL, the UK’s leading internet service provider, I built a highly successful production team and developed optimal digital content strategies to exceed targets. Directing concepts for new content areas, specials and seasonal drivers, I managed content output for all lifestyle channels, including design, UX and editorial. I devised and directed the launch of two key channels in the AOL UK stable – the new Health & Fitness channel and the Women’s channel which showcased the best of online health, fashion and beauty.
As Editor for Marshall Cavendish print publisher, I’ve produced and launched successful lifestyle and consumer magazines, planning the content and layout, pitching to different markets, commissioning writers and contributors and overseeing the production process as a whole. I’ve also written children’s books in association with BBC CBeebies and Cartoon Saloon.
